Meet Lulu Louise

Lulu Louise is all about color, value, and simple shapes coming together in a big way.

Originally designed for my book A Life With Quilts, Lulu Louise has been one of those quilts I've returned to again and again. This updated version includes three sizes and a more efficient strip-piecing method that makes the quilt surprisingly simple to put together. Choose 14 foreground fabrics, add a background, and watch the design begin to take shape one strip set at a time.

Lulu Louise is a beginner-friendly quilt with simple construction and lots of room to play with fabric.

If you're comfortable sewing a 1/4" seam, you're ready to make Lulu Louise. We'll work through the piecing together, from preparing and cutting the fabrics to making strip sets, building the columns, and assembling the quilt top. And when the piecing is finished, we'll keep going with free-motion quilting, including feathers and S-curves.
