In this class, you’ll create the Holding Light mini quilt (10" x 14"), a small, satisfying project designed to be finished and enjoyed on your wall. This mini quilt is perfect for slowing down and focusing on the details. You’ll piece the quilt top, quilt it, and prepare it for hanging using simple, beautiful methods.

What you’ll learn

In this class, you’ll learn how to:

  • Piece a mini quilt top with clean, accurate results

  • Build a simple, structured floral design

  • Quilt both the foreground and background

  • Add corner pockets for hanging

  • Display your mini quilt on the wall

What you’ll need

You’ll need basic quilting supplies along with the following:

You’ll need fabric for the background and flower, along with batting and backing. You’ll also need a small wooden dowel (¼"–⅜" diameter) for hanging your finished mini quilt. No special tools are required, just use the quilting tools you already have and love.

How the class works

This class is designed to be simple and easy to follow, with step-by-step video lessons you can watch at your own pace. You’ll have a downloadable pattern included, and the project is designed to be completed in a short, manageable amount of time. We’ll focus on piecing, quilting, and preparing your mini quilt for hanging
